The electric glass is translucent when switched off and clear when switched on. It is a laminated glass with the electrical conductors along one or two edges (one for small pieces, two for longer pieces) and the remaining edges have a 6mm clear border (even when switched). This clear border can be sandblasted to match the translucency of the glass.

Due to the electrical conductors channels are required to two edges of the panels. Consequently the glass is not suitable for wet areas as it requires to be fully isolated from water at both sides.

Ideal applications are discreet divider walls particularly in security installations. The glass can be synchronized with cameras so that the camera can see through the glass even when the eye cannot.
